Agartala :<\/strong> Major General Anurag Vij, Additional Director General (ADG), NCC Directorate, North Eastern Region (NER), met Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Friday to discuss strengthening and expansion of National Cadet Corps (NCC) activities in the state.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by Brigadier Anand Raj Singh, Group Commander, Silchar Group, and Colonel N. S. Baath, Commanding Officer, 13 Tripura Battalion NCC.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The discussion focused on enhancing opportunities for the youth of Tripura through structured NCC training, national integration and nation-building initiatives.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the need to organize National-Level Integration Camps in Agartala to enable cadets from across the country to interact, experience diverse cultures and strengthen the spirit of national unity.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The expansion of NCC activities to remote and rural areas of Tripura was also highlighted, aiming to provide youth from these regions with access to discipline, leadership development, social service and national integration programmes.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The meeting further deliberated on increasing NCC coverage across the state, including expanding the number of institutions, cadet strength and NCC infrastructure.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The role of NCC in imparting military training, adventure activities, trekking, camps and leadership-oriented programmes was also discussed. Such initiatives help cadets develop discipline, teamwork, confidence and a spirit of adventure.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Career guidance for youth, including awareness about opportunities in the Armed Forces and other career avenues, was another key area of discussion. The Chief Minister has recently emphasized the role of youth and voluntary service in building a stronger society.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The meeting also underlined the importance of continued support and cooperation from the State Government for strengthening NCC activities and facilitating training, camps and youth development programmes across Tripura.<\/p>\n

The interaction marked a significant step towards further strengthening cooperation between the NCC and the Tripura Government and expanding the reach of NCC across the state, thereby empowering the youth through discipline, leadership, social responsibility and national integration.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
