{"id":8805,"date":"2024-11-21T04:28:24","date_gmt":"2024-11-21T04:28:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sokalsandhya.com\/?p=8805"},"modified":"2024-11-21T04:28:24","modified_gmt":"2024-11-21T04:28:24","slug":"cm-pays-tribute-to-martyred-indian-army-soldier-subhankar-bhowmik","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sokalsandhya.com\/en\/archives\/8805","title":{"rendered":"CM pays tribute to martyred Indian Army soldier Subhankar Bhowmik"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>Agartala :<\/strong> Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today paid his last respects to Indian Army soldier Subhankar Bhowmik, who made the supreme sacrifice at Siachen.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Saha also announced financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh from the Chief Minister\u2019s Relief Fund (CMRF) for the family of the martyred soldier.<\/p>\n<p>The mortal remains of Subhankar Bhowmik, a resident of Amarpur in the Gomati District, were brought to Agartala.<\/p>\n<p>Upon arrival at MBB Airport, Dr. Saha, along with Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu, paid tribute by laying wreaths on the soldier&#8217;s body.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the media, Dr. Saha said, \u201cOur son from Tripura, Subhankar Bhowmik, made the ultimate sacrifice at Siachen on Monday after a massive avalanche struck. Unfortunately, the incident occurred at night, making an immediate rescue operation impossible. He was found the next morning but had already passed away. This is a deeply painful incident. He leaves behind a young daughter and his wife.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Subhankar gave his life while safeguarding the nation. The state government will provide all necessary support to the family.
