Agartala : Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today said that providing jobs to qualified candidates with transparency is one of the goals of the present government and that 16,942 people have been appointed in various departments of the state government from the financial year 2018-19 to April 2025.
“The government has prioritized corruption-free administration, transparency, and timely completion of work,” said Dr. Saha.
Dr. Saha said this while participating in the distribution of appointment letters for 479 posts in various departments of the state government at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala today.
At the event, Dr. Saha said that 479 posts are being offered in various departments of the state government today.
“Out of these, 126 are in the Social Welfare and Social Education Department, 197 in the Public Works Department, and 156 in the State Cooperative Bank. The job recipients are getting these jobs according to their respective qualifications. For this, they did not have to go to anyone. Earlier, people had to attend rallies to get a job. Even then, they had to wait for years. But after our government came to power, a policy of providing jobs with transparency has been adopted. You are getting appointment letters because of transparency,” he said.
Dr. Saha said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also given importance to the appointment process with transparency and the state government is also working under the direction of the Prime Minister.
Giving information, the Chief Minister said that Home Minister Amit Shah virtually participated in the offer distribution ceremony organized at Swami Vivekananda Maidan on February 5 this year where 2,436 people were given offer letters for the post of Multi-Tasking Staff (Group D) in 37 departments through JRBT, and 369 people for the post of Pharmacist/Lab Technician in the Health Department.
“In total, 2,806 people were given appointment letters that day, which created history in Tripura. On April 19 this year, 11 people were offered the post of Small Savings Inspector through TPSC.
